Parents are please advised to go through these admission regulations and general conduct with their child/children. Any student(s) who wish to be admitted into the school is expected to follow these procedures.

1. ADMISSION REGULATION

Any student(s) who wish to be admitted into the school is expected to follow these procedures:

(a)   Purchase of admission form from Admin Office at the specified amount by cash.

(b)  Sit for the entrance examination on the date announced and as the case may be.

(c)  After the result is pasted, the successful candidate(s) is/are expected to attend on oral interview which is compulsory.

(d)  All successful candidates in the oral interview will be admitted.

 It is a must for every student of Shesfun Comprehensive School to abide by the rules and regulations guiding the school.

2. GENERAL CONDUCT OF STUDENTS

(a)   Uniform

Every student is expected to appear in his/her complete uniform from shirt, tie, trouser/skirt to white socks and (shoe/sandal), the school sweaterand the school outing wear as specified by the school. Any defaulter is liable

punishment.

(b)  Regular Attendance to the Assembly

All students are expected to attend assembly regularly. Failure to do; will attract punishment, ranging from public caining to suspension for 2 weeks.

(c)  Failure to Attend Classes

Any student who fails to attend classes regularly and is caught shall be subjected to a public disgrace and any other punishment as shall be decided by the disciplinary committee.

(d)  Loitering

It is an offence for any student to be found loitering around the corridors/empty classrooms and anywhere within and outside the school premises during and after the school hours. Defaulter shall incur the wrath of the school authority.

(e)  Failure to do Assignment

Any student who fails to do his or her assignment or class work at the right time is liable to any punishment spelt out by the subject-teacher or any of the heads of department.

(f)    Noise Making

Noise making and shouting in the school when classes are going on is not allowed. Defaulters will be punished.

(g)   Participation in Sports and Co-curricular Activities

For proper development and social interaction, it is a must for every student of this school to participate in sporting activities and attend his or her club or association’s meeting regularly at the specified time. Any defaulter shall be thoroughly dealt with.

3. OFFENCES/PUNISHMENTS

(a)  Lateness/Punctuality

All students are expected to be in school before or by 7:30 a.m. and partake in the morning assembly. Any student who defaults in the above offence will be caned or be given any other punishment.

(b)  Two Fighting

Fighting between two students is prohibited.

(c)  Stealing

The student(s) involved should be caned publicly before other students in the assembly and the item stolen must be returned or replaced by the student(s).

(d)  Unwarranted Attire

Any student that is found indulging in this act will be punished as the authority deems fit. The attire must be seized by the school authority.

(e)  Bullying

A bully in the school will be caned. If this act is committed consistently by a particular student, such a student will be suspended for a period of 2 weeks.

(f)  The use of Vulgar Language

An offender will be caned.

(g)  Possession of Pornographic Magazine/video/Cassettes/Earphones/Computer Game

The items will be seized, and the possessor(s) punished as the authority deems fit.

4. MAJOR OFFENCES

(a)   Truancy

Any student(s) found guilty of this offence will be punished in the following ways:

i. Public caning on the assembly

ii. Inviting the parents to the school.

iii. Suspension for at least 2 weeks.

(b)  Insult to Teachers

This offence if committed shall attract the following disciplinary measures:

i. Public caning on the assembly.

ii. Suspension from class and lessons for 2 weeks with hard labour.

(c)   Gambling

This is not allowed in the school, hence any student who engages in gambling will be punished as follows.

i. Inviting the parents to the school.

ii. Suspension for at least one month.

iii. Public caning on the assembly.

The student will be made to sign an undertaking.

(d)  Acts of Immorality

All acts of immorality among students will attract the following punishments if discovered.

i. Public caning on the assembly.

ii. Suspension for at least one month.

(e)  Breaking of Bounce

Any student involved in this offence will be punished in the following way.

i. Public caning on the assembly.

ii. Suspension from lesson with hard labour.

(f)   Hooliganism and Cultism

Any student found guilty of this offence will be expelled from the school.

(g)  Pregnancy

This is a serious offence, hence any student(s) found guilty of this offence will be expelled.

(h)  Examination Malpractices

Any student who engages in examination mal practices will have his/her marks for the subject deducted. Depending on the gravity of the offence, he/she could have his/her paper cancelled.

(i)  Drunkenness and Rioting

Defaulters will be expelled from school.

(j)  Damaging of School Property

Any student who damages any of the school property will replace such a property either by paying cash for it or bringing a replacement for the item destroyed.
